Libstack is a reading tracker you can show to friends. If something here does not answer your question, @andrewchung01 is the fastest way to reach a person.
Deleting your account
Open Settings and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm once.
It happens immediately and cannot be undone. Removed with it: your sign-in, your profile and handle, your profile photo, every book and shelf, your notes, your reading days, and your friendships. There is no grace period and no backup you can be restored from, so if you only want to step away, sign out instead.
Two things outlive the deletion, neither of which identifies you: a friend keeps their own books and shelves, and an invite link you had already sent stops working rather than pointing at a missing person.
An invite link will not open
Invite links look like libstack.app/i/ABCD2345 and last 48 hours. If one has expired or has already been used up, ask your friend to send a new one — it takes a moment and costs them nothing.
If you have Libstack installed, tapping the link opens the app directly. If it opens a web page instead, the usual reason is that the link was tapped inside a messenger — KakaoTalk, Instagram and the rest each have a browser of their own, and those browsers cannot hand a link to an app.
The fix is to get the link somewhere you can tap it. The web page has a Copy link button for exactly that: copy it, paste it into Notes or a message to yourself, then tap it there. The app takes over from that tap.
Pasting it into Safari’s address bar will not work, and that is iOS rather than a fault in the link: a link hands off to an app only when it is tapped, never when it is typed or pasted in.
A book is missing from search
Libstack searches more than one catalogue, and Korean and English titles come from different ones. If a title will not appear, try the ISBN instead, or scan the barcode on the back cover. You can also change which catalogue is preferred in Settings.
Page counts and covers come from those catalogues too, so a book can arrive without either. Neither is required to add it or to track progress.
My reading streak did not go up
A streak counts days you marked as read, one per day — reading two books in a night still counts once. The day is your phone’s own local date, and it rolls over at 4am rather than midnight, so finishing a chapter at 1am counts towards the day that is ending.
Your streak is visible only to you. Friends cannot see it.
Who can see my library
Only friends you are mutually connected to. There is no public profile and nothing is published on the web.
Notes are the exception, and are private to you. A friend browsing your book sees the book, not what you wrote about it. Your reading days are private in the same way — see Privacy.
Notifications
Libstack sends a notification when a friend reacts to one of your books. If they stop arriving, check that notifications are allowed for Libstack in your device’s own settings — permission is granted there, not in the app.
Reporting a bug
Send it to @andrewchung01. What helps most: which screen, what you expected, and your device model.
